Workshop

I take great pleasure from woodturning, it's very therapeutic. An old discarded piece of timber can be turned into a beautiful and tactile item.
Woodturning is a wonderful combination of creativity and engineering exactness. Each working hand in hand to create the pieces I make in my "man cave"
My first lathe was a engineering lathe that I got from my father in-law and chisels that would struggle to cut butter. I'm now on my third lathe, a large Axminster 1628VS, which I am sure will keep me happy for years to come. The workshop has evolved over the years and my wife just thinks I've built a man cave to end all man caves.

Callie, a border collie, is my workshop buddy.
She's not too interested in woodturning, but does pinch the odd piece of wood and chew it to bits!
